Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones we use on darkpsychology.eu, why, and how you can manage them. It complements our Privacy Policy.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website sends to your browser and stores on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone). Cookies allow the site to remember information about your visit — preferences, language, browsing data — to improve the user experience and, in some cases, to perform statistics or personalisation.

2. Legal basis

The use of cookies on this site is governed by:

  • Article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE), which requires informed consent for non-strictly-necessary cookies.
  • Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), when the cookie processes personal data.
  • Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) Guide on the use of cookies, current edition.

For any cookie that is not strictly technical or necessary, we request your express, prior, and granular consent, which you can grant or refuse via the cookie banner displayed on your first visit.

3.5 Social-media cookies

If you interact with social-media buttons (sharing on X/Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.), those platforms may install their own cookies on your browser. We have no control over these cookies — please consult the privacy policies of each platform.

You can change your decision at any time by clicking the “Cookie preferences” link in the site footer.
